The Rev. Rodney Green of “Changing a Generation Ministry” and evangelist Alice Bailey McKinnis of “Outreach Ministry Restore” hosted this year’s Easter Monday Celebration at Hillside Park on April 5 to unite the NECD community for the holiday.
The event offered confidential, rapid testing for HIV by Caare, Inc., an Easter egg hunt, food and free haircuts. Tasty Haven restaurant provided and prepared the food.
According to Green, approximately 100 residents attended the event, but they had prepared for a larger crowd of about 1,000 people.
