Most teacher work days are spent relaxing or hanging out with friends, but on Friday, February  24th, many local teenagers spent the day applying for jobs at the Mayor’s Summer Youth Work Program at the Holton Career and Work Center in NECD. Applicants from ages 14 up to 21 gave up free time in the hopes of acquiring some income for the summer.

Kim Moss, assistant youth services coordinator for the Durham Youth Commission says that they still hope more employers will contact them with summer job openings. She can be reached at kim.moss@durhamnc.gov or at 919-354-2730, extension 11113.
